Jenny's Why | Serving with Heart, Faith, and Purpose

My heart for serving our unhoused friends comes from a very personal place. My brother experienced homelessness, and my husband grew up knowing what it felt like to face food insecurity. Because of their experiences, I understand that homelessness and hunger are not just circumstances or statistics — they affect real people and families who deserve love, compassion, and dignity.

For me, being part of His U’niqu3 Blessings Ministry is about so much more than providing a meal, clean clothes, or basic necessities. It's about meeting people right where they are, without judgment or expectations. It's about listening to their stories, learning their names, building relationships, and reminding them that they are seen, valued, and loved.

What I never expected was just how much serving would change me. This ministry has grown and stretched me in my faith in ways I never could have imagined. It has pushed me outside my comfort zone, challenged me to trust God more deeply, and taught me that following Jesus isn't just about what we believe or say — it's about how we love and serve others.

One of the greatest blessings of serving is realizing how much our friends give back to us. The hugs, laughter, conversations, and friendships mean more than words can express. So often, I walk away feeling like I'm the one who received the blessing.

My WHY is simple: Everyone has a story. Everyone deserves compassion. And everyone deserves to know they are loved.

I started serving because I wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. What I didn't realize was just how much God would use these friendships and experiences to make a difference in mine.
